Which PS3 game to buy?

These 2 games are the two top games on the PS3 console as of now and I'm picking between the two to buy for myself to enjoy during the holiday season. Obviously,fans are loving Assassin's Creed as of now as it is the top game overall in all consoles.

However,I'd like to give Uncharted a chance as it is in the same genre/gameplay style as Assassin's Creed.

So which is better?

I played the beta of Uncharted. It sucks. It's an arcade-like shooter with better graphics.

Assassin's Creed, however is like the best game out there.
